The first surprises for this second tournament of the season of World Padel Tour (WPT). A 100% Scandinavian pair accessed for the first time the previas of a WPT Open or Master taking place in Spain! A great reward for this country which is very active in the development of Padel in northern Europe.
By winning 3 matches in a row at the WPT Alicante Open, Carl Knutsson (144th WPT) and Daniel Windahl (173rd WPT) have in a way created the history of Swedish padel at the international level.

Proof of the progress of these two men, three victories in straight sets, notably by eliminating the number 1 seed of the preprevias!
Knutsson and Windahl ended up falling yesterday in the first round of the previas, facing the formidable pair made up of Jesus Moya Sos and Edu Alonso. A defeat with honors (6/4 7/5) against these two players who peak around the 80th place and who are clearly among the young people to follow this season.
Obviously a very good experience for the Swedish pair, and it is also proof that the level continues to rise in emerging countries. We can't wait to find them at the next tournament!
