It is difficult to comment on the beginnings of the new association between Miguel Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk. Finland P2 was marked by the first performances of many new pairs, including that of Stupa/Yanguas.

It's no secret, Stupa told us: his separation from Di Nenno was not really wanted on his part. After some hesitation, notably to associate with a certain… Pablo Cardona, he finally opted for security with Miguel Yanguas.

In this tournament in Finland, Stupa and Yanguas won two seesaw matches: against Capra/Sanchez and Zapata/Barahona, before losing to the number 6 seed, Nieto/Sanz, in two sets (6/ 4 7/6).

For Stupa, we will have to accept that the Di Nenno wall is now a potential adversary. Yanguas, with a more risky game, requires adaptation. Both players will still need to work on their cohesion to reach their full potential.

This defeat also marks the end of the semi-final series for Stupa, who remained on six consecutive semi-finals. His last quarter-final dates back to last April during P2 in Belgium. For the seventh player in the world, this is indeed a poor performance.
