Young French people shine on the Tennis Europe circuit (U14 and U16). France has three representatives in the Top 10 this week.

Carla Fity (TC Strasbourg / Ligue du Grand Est), 13, occupies the 8e place in the Tennis Europe U14 ranking on January 14, 2020. This is a real performance since it is the first time in 10 years that a young Frenchwoman has joined the Top 10, but also that France has three players in the Top 20, with Sarah Iliev, 13e (TC Oswald / Grand Est League) and Camilia Samel Druz, 18e (TC Strasbourg / Ligue du Grand Est). In total, seven Tricolors are thus present in the Top 100.

In boys, Theo Papamalamis (TC Moulins-lès-Metz / Ligue du Grand Est), 14 years old, stands out by pointing to the 7e place in the U14 ranking (January 14). The French contingent in the Top 100 of this ranking is also particularly important since 11 tricolor players appear there.

For its part, Sean Cuenin (TC Toulonnais / Ligue Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur), aged 15, occupies a very beautiful 7e place in the Tennis Europe U16 ranking (January 14).

These results are thus the fruits of the Junior plan of the “Agir et Gagner” program co-constructed between the teams of the National Technical Department and those of the Territories, engaged in the field.

The DTN adapts to each project of young people entering the international loop. The latter have the choice of their structure, whether in the Territories, in an academy or at the National Training Center, a resource center. They also have the possibility of staying within the family framework. The Federation supports them financially in their project whatever their choice, provided that the quality of the structure and the defined program are respected.
