 Lorenzo Lecci López: We are in your new club the Z5 Padel. Can you explain the concept to us? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “The idea is that after football, which we set up about ten years ago, we offer padel. This sport is growing a lot in France, and we had a little space available to put 4 courts. Today is the big day for Z5 Padel. "

 Lorenzo Lecci López: 5 is the number you wore at Real Madrid. 

 Zinedine Zidane : "Yes that is correct ! The 5 refers to my jersey, to 5-a-side football. The Z like Zidane… Lots of things, we play with all that! I don't know if you've seen the logo too, but I find it very beautiful! ”

 Lorenzo Lecci López: We know there is a Z5 in Turin. Have you planned other openings of Z5 Padel in France, Spain, Italy? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “In March we will open a club in Istres, which is half an hour from here. That's the next club. We already have the Z5 international football in Turin, and we're also going to put padel courts there. At the moment, we're working with these three entities."

Difficult to be on a football field ...

 Lorenzo Lecci Lopez: We know that many footballers, or ex-footballers, play padel and tennis. Which footballer plays the best? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “In padel, I couldn’t really tell you because I haven’t played with footballers. In tennis, a friend from 98 plays very well: Christophe Dugarry. In padel, we’ve never been able to play.”

 Lorenzo Lecci Lopez: Why do footballers like padel so much? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “I think it’s mainly because it’s very easy to start playing. Plus, you can play with an elderly person, with a child… It’s a very accessible sport. You may or may not like it, but I’m a total fan! For me, who’s almost 50, being on a football pitch is more and more complicated. So to play with friends, with family, padel is perfect!”   

 Lorenzo Lecci López: A question for the coach. Do you see any physical, technical or tactical skills that the footballer can adapt to the practice of padel? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “In any case, it’s compatible. Playing padel during the season is a good compromise to do a little physical session. I think it’s a good idea. In addition, Rudi Garcia has already used it in the past.”

 Lorenzo Lecci López: With this Z5 Padel, you are betting on padel. How do you see this sport in 10-15 years? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “I hope padel will be at the Olympic Games. I would love to see it at the Games, because I am a total fan. If you have the paper, I sign!”

 Lorenzo Lecci Lopez: Do you see padel on TV in Spain? Which players do you like? 

 Zinedine Zidane : “Yes, I watch a lot. Ale Galán and Alex Ruiz did us the favor of coming for the opening. From now on, I will be following these two players in particular. As well as being impressive when they play, they are very nice people. ”
