Zinedine Zidane continues to expand his footprint in the world of sport with a new ambitious project. A center dedicated to the practice of padel, 5-a-side football and beach volleyball is under development in the department of Pyrénées-Orientales. According to The Independent, an investment of 5 million would be mobilized for this infrastructure, the start of work on which is planned for start of 2026.
A multi-sport complex for a new local dynamic
This future space will accommodate:
- 13 padel courts,
- 2 surfaces of five,
- 1 area dedicated to beach volleyball.
Its location would be fixed at Toulouges, a town near Perpignan, with the ambition of creating a a real sports and leisure center.
A project that fits into Zidane's strategy
The former footballer of the Real Madrid, who could soon be promoted to the position of national coach, continues in parallel its initiatives in padel.
It should obviously be noted that the Perpignan region could, in the coming months, become the one with the highest density of structures dedicated to padel, given the many projects under development. Watch this space.
