Italy and padel, an endless love story

Le padel never stops conquering Italy.

Indeed for a few years now our transalpine neighbors exchange more and more the round ball for the small yellow ball and the pala.

Barely a few months ago, a city in the north of the country decided to bet on this popular momentum to meet the expectations of locals.

Football vs Padel

The story of the day takes place in the city of Carrara, in Tuscany, between Genoa and Florence.

Ads Tavolara Sporting club has decided to bet everything on padel by building on the former Carrarese U19 football headquarters, two fields to accommodate practitioners. A new possibility to promote this sport even more!

Emmanuele Quercioli et Daniel Benassi, the two instigators of this operation confided in our colleagues from Il Terreno Gelocal and stressed that this sport is addictive because it is very simple at the beginning: you get on the track and you can play straight away and have fun.
The other strength of this sport is its social aspect: it allows you to have fun with friends, whatever the level.

A popular sport

The success of padel is no longer to be demonstrated. You only have to look at the data in the different regions to realize that this sport has been the fastest growing in the world in recent years. And Italy is no exception to the phenomenon, with many initiatives, such as when a Italian school decides to integrate the padel for students !

Its success starts with the fact that this sport is totally fun and accessible to all, but also thanks to the visibility brought to it by athletes who decide to indulge in this new discipline.

Indeed for some time, many are those who exchanged the crampons for the pala.

Among them we find a certain number of former Italian footballers or passed by Italy like Francesco Totti, Roberto Mancini, Christian Vieri or Zlatan Ibrahimovic!
