Mireia Herrada and Laia Rodriguez dominated Baharak Soleymani and Ajla Behram to win the Hublot Monaco Master 2022 (6/3 6/2).
Smiles, laughter, emotion. On the bench of Matias (coach of the Catalans), several feelings overlapped. At just 17 years old, Laia Rodriguez becomes the youngest player to win an APT tournament. Mireia, meanwhile, remains undefeated on the circuit with a new title, after Seville last year.
The final was less hung than expected. Dominated in all facets of the game, the Soleymani / Behram pair could not exist in this final which was played at the pace of the Spaniards.
The Catalans conclude in less than an hour and two quick sets, which contradicts the very long oppositions that the women's draw saw in this 2022 edition.
