Benjamin Tison – Good at tennis, good at padel ?

Who is Benjamin Tison? In partnership with its equipment supplier Tecnifibre, the French number 1 looks back on his debut at padel and its express evolution!

The transition between tennis and padel

I played tennis before I played padel, I was really a tennis fan. When I discovered the padel, I immediately loved it.

It was a big help to have been at -4/6 in tennis, it allowed me to progress quickly.

It made it a lot easier, but it was above all that very quickly, I became passionate about padel and I had this certain humility to start from scratch. Keeping my tennis strengths while adapting them to the padel.

Tennis as a complement to help players of padel ?

Many players come from tennis. When I started, there were about ten players getting into it at the same time.

With Adrien Maigret, we were those who progressed the fastest. I think we had a style of play in tennis that suited the padel, as well as eye qualities.

The tennis player who starts at padel will be stronger than someone who has never played tennis, that's for sure. Afterwards, there are flaws to be erased of course.

I think the most important thing is the will to learn above all.
