Dorian De Meyer and Thomas Vanbauce won the FIP Promomtion QTF in Doha by beating Spaniards Xavi Rodriguez Villa (N.230) and Pablo Tejero Delgado (N.614). The two Frenchmen finished perfectly in the final (7/5-6/2) by not losing a single set.
Although they weren't particularly favorites at the start of the week, De Meyer and Vanbauce started by eliminating the second seed, the local pair Al-Mutawa/Abdulla (2/6-2/7), then their compatriots Manuel Vivès and Julien Seurin (5/6-2/7), seeded four.
This success will allow the Habs to make a leap in the FIP ranking by approaching 400th place.
