After FFT recovery plan in tennis and padel, it is the turn of beach tennis to be supported by the Federation by proposing from next month the FFT BEACH TENNIS TOUR 2020.
The "FFT Beach Tennis Tour" is aimed at the elite of the discipline as is the FFT PADEL TOUR for padelists. These beach tennis events allow players to prepare for ITF events.
On the same principle as in the padel and tennis, the FFT will offer 13 events padel BT 1000 category (highest category in beach tennis) allowing to see the best of beach tennis on French territory.
As of this year, the FFT will also offer more than 40 dates related to beach tennis ranging from FFT BT 25 to FFT BT 500. A very interesting formula which therefore concerns amateur events. At padel, the clubs asked the FFT to support them much more on the amateur part. The message seems to have been heard, even if this formula concerns beach tennis for the moment.
Youth and mixed events will also take place in beach tennis. Sport has therefore not been forgotten at all. A good surprise for the beach tennis sector, which has also been hit hard by the health crisis.
Beach tennis events will take place in mainland France and overseas. Obviously provided that the health crisis leaves us alone. Indeed, depending on the region, there may be some adaptations.
8 BT tennis beach tennis events will take place in metropolitan France:
And 5 overseas tournaments:
The elite beach tennis circuit will be aimed at ladies and gentlemen.
The competitions will allow you to glean valuable points, especially during the FFT BEACH TENNIS TOUR, the elite beach tennis circuit before the resumption of the ITF international events.
The FFT therefore continues to extend its recovery plan in the tennis economy, beach tennis and the padel. As in the padel, the FFT thus supports the host clubs of the competitions by participating in the prize money and the general organization of the competition.
Good news for a sports ecosystem that has suffered terribly.
