How hard it was, for Dylan Guichard et Thomas Leygue (TS1) during their 8e final at FIP Promotion CastellonFacing Diego Dorta Diaz (427) et Oier Zuazua Aostri (634). As a reminder, the Guichard/Leygue pair was the last French representation in Spain.
The French pair, however, got off to a good start in this meeting. Thomas and Dylan were largely favorites in their match and, moreover, they had started perfectly well. A well-run first set and won 6/3, the chances seemed on the side of the tricolors.
In the second set, the debates were balanced and the French were pushed to the tie-break. This decisive game will have turned to the advantage of the Spaniards who returned one sleeve everywhere.
Fortunately, Dylan and Thomas rallied in the third heat. As in the first set, the tricolors went to pocket the third round 6/3.
Thomas Leygue and Dylan Guichard play again this evening to seek a place in the semi-final. They will be opposed to a new Spanish pair: Hugo Jorquera Santos (874) et Luis Lechuga Castro (994). A qualified pair who knocked down the 6 seed in the first round, Garcia/Martinez.
