Au padel, the French Tennis Federation has set up different formats of padel. It all depends on the tournament category padel, but also the number of matches during the day.
There are 5 match formats approved for competitions of padel :
- 1 format: 3 sets to 6 games;
- 2 format: 2 sets to 6 games; 3e set = super decisive game at 10 points;
- 3 format: 2 sets to 6 games; decisive point; 3e set = super decisive game at 10 points;
- 4 format: 2 sets to 4 games, decisive point, decisive game at 3 / 3, 3e set = super decisive game at 10 points;
- 5 format: 1 set to 9 games; decisive point; decisive game at 7 points to 8 / 8.
A minimum rest of 30 minutes must be respected between 2 games. The maximum number of games that a team can play per day depends on the game formats and the category of the tournament (see specifications for the competitions of padel).
