Head takes a new step towards sustainability and incorporates as a novelty in its catalog four models of pressurizers that maintain and reinforce the pressure of tennis balls and padel.
The Austrian brand has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish company TuboPlus for the design, production and distribution of the four pressurizer models in 21 countries. The license, which bears the name of Head Pressurizers, completes the product portfolio HEAD and widens the sales horizon of TuboPlus, industry leader.
The introduction of pressurizers Head is part of the initiative Head rethink of the company, which aims to improve the sports performance of all products while minimizing the environmental footprint of the company. The recyclable tennis ball tubes now available and the FLAX racket, made from flax fibres, are examples.
Ricky brigolle, Category Manager Racquetsports at Head Spain, said : “The development of pressurizers achieves two essential objectives for Head : firstly, it minimizes the environmental impact, since the number of thrown balls is reduced. Second, with this launch, we're giving players all the products they need to enjoy racquet sports."
According to Juan Jose Munoz Paredes, Director of TuboPlus "Ball pressurizers are an absolutely necessary product in the backpack of tennis players and padel to extend the life of the balls and reduce their high production, which is around 360 million per year, according to the International Tennis Federation“. He adds : "It is something new, functional and modern, which maintains the quality of ball rebound for longer and prevents possible injuries."
