Henry and Costantino persist and sign at TCP Reichstett!

This weekend of July 4 & 5 marked the resumption of Padel in competition in Alsace: the seeds 1 have ensured and some teams have emerged. Federico Costantino and Christophe Henry indeed win “the Open” and the pair Clara Gomez & Ilona Gomez Klein win the women's tournament!

The 4 women teams registered had an appointment on Saturday to compete for the title. The 2 Reichstett players ranked 71st and 220th respectively French players acted as favorites at the opening of the debates and did not tremble to gain the victory.

On the men's side, 16 teams were on the start line with a group stage on Saturday and a final table on Sunday. With only 8 tickets to distribute for Sunday, places were expensive to pick up under the beautiful Alsatian sun.

If the heads of series 1 Costantino-henry and 3 Sirbu Laloy (winner of his 1st P100 in February) were at the semi-finals, the presence of the pair Bauduin-Olivier (the lowest ranked player in the tournament) was more surprising. And at the little game of “sudden death”, Costantino-Henry found the pair in the final Feist Breysach, a true revelation of the tournament, in a mano à mano that the public present on the spot could appreciate with enthusiasm.

Victory of the first cities at the end of the suspense 20-18 in the super-tie of the 3rd but no doubt we will see this new pair very soon on the local circuit.

In the opinion of everyone, the quality of the welcome from the organizing team and the work of the 2 referees (Aldric Bastid & Gilles Feist) over these 2 days are to be commended.

Le padel resumes its rights in Alsace and more generally in the Grand Est with many tournaments to come in the coming weeks. The TCPR also invites all the competitors on the weekend of August 8 and 9 for the Tom Impression Padel tournament with a P250 Men and a P100 Women on the program!
