How to calculate the ranking of a player in a men's tournament?

Ladies may be allowed to participate in some men's tournaments (up to P500). A pair can therefore be made up of either 2 players, or one player and one player, or two players.

Equivalences of rankings to be attributed to a player participating in a men's tournament for the establishment of pools and tables:

  • Top 50 WPT => + 200 in the men's ranking compared to his FFT ranking
  • between 1 and 10 FFT => + 400 in the men's ranking
  • between 11 and 30 FFT => + 1 in the men's ranking
  • between 31 and 60 FFT => + 2 in the men's ranking
  • between 61 and 100 FFT => + 5 in the men's ranking
  • between 101 and 500 FFT => + 7 in the men's ranking
  • 501 and more FFT => + 10 in the men's ranking
  • Not Ranked Ladies = Not Ranked in Men's Ranking

Example: a player ranked 23rd in France will be ranked 1 (023 + 23) in the Men's classification, and this classification of 1 will be used to calculate the weight of the pair.

To be able to participate in a tournament, we reason by pair weight (addition of the two player rankings):

Example: a player ranked N ° 8 wishes to participate in a Men's tournament with a partner ranked 458th, the weight of the pair will therefore be: (8 + 400) + 458 = 866

Note: for Mixed events where only Mixed pairs are obligatorily composed of a woman and a man, no need to use these equivalences; the weight of the pair will simply be the sum of the player's rankings in their respective rankings.
