More changes to come for girls?

These last days have been marked by the wave of change of male pairs on the circuit, Chingotto/Paquito, Yanguas/Gonzalez, Tello/Ruiz, Lamperti/Libaak… Recently, the pairs Brea/Araujo and Ortega/Gonzalez ended their collaborations: are we witnessing the first “baile de parejas” of the year 2023 among the ladies?

Separations that follow one another

After Brea and Araujo, it is the turn of Marta Ortega and Bea Gonzalez to separate. A small earthquake on the planet padel. The world number 3 pair had however started the season well by ending the invincibility of Josemaria and Sanchez in La Rioja.

But the two pairs are not the only ones to have announced their separation. After a heavy 6/1 6/0 loss at the Reus Open 500 to the sisters Aleyeto, Ana Catarina Nogueira and Eli Amatriaín have also ended their collaboration. The results of the Portuguese and the Spaniard are not up to their ambitions. After four defeats for no victory, the two players hope to bounce back with a new partner.

Pairs fixed before April 4?

We will therefore see some pair changes before the next stage of the World Padel Tour. The end of registrations for the next Granada Open (April 8 to 16) is set for Tuesday April 4. Until then, we will know more about the formation of the new pairs in the ladies.
