Should we have both feet behind the line at the service?

Le padel, sometimes it's not that simple! The regulations may not be that clear. This is the case for the service. Do we absolutely have to serve with both feet behind the baseline?

The answer is no. You can only have one foot behind the baseline as long as the other does not touch the service line or squares.

Lots of players from padel, especially among professionals tend to advance just before the impact of the ball on service, but without the second foot having yet touched the prohibited zone.

Why project yourself forward just before impact?

To save time and go on the fly as quickly as possible in order to avoid a long return of winning service.

Inevitably this strategy takes on its full meaning, when the players play Australian, that is to say, when the two players / partners find themselves on the same part of the field (the same when ready to serve.
