For this first 1/2 final of the day, we were treated to a good opposition among the ladies: Osoro / Sainz (TS2) against the pair Ortega / Araujo (TS1).
After a difficult qualification for the last four, Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo once again suffered in Alicante. In a stunning match, Ortega and Araujo got the better of Osoro and Sainz.

In the second set the number two seed of the tournament keeps the same intensity. Ortega and Araujo suffer and are broken from the start. The Spanish-Portuguese pair is chasing the score and is once again forced to fight to get back into the game. On their first opportunity, Martita and Sofia manage to unbreak and restart the match. Osoro and Sainz are gone! The Spanish-Portuguese pair lifted the Alicante public and against all odds returned to a set everywhere.
In the decisive round, the match gets carried away. The rhythm is intense and particularly stimulating. The two pairs go blow for blow. Osoro and Sainz break from the start, but Ortega and Araujo manage to come back straight away. Driven by growing confidence, the Spanish-Portuguese pair is now untouchable. Those who are favorites on paper are now dominant and dictate the game to perfection. In a stunning match, they won in 2h22 4/6 6/4 6/3.
Marta Ortega and Sofia Araujo offered themselves a new comeback in Alicante. This Sunday they will play their first final together on the World Padel Tour.
