Bastien Blanqué and Adrien Maigret won the first tournament of FFT Padel Tour of the season : the P2000 of the 4Padel Maroon.
Like last week for the P1000 which took place at the same place, the seeded 1 had its rank respected, but it was not easy in this final.
Indeed, the outsiders Philémon Raichman and Benjamin Grué offered strong resistance to the players of the France team, even winning the first round.
Behind, the seeded 4 of this P2000 ran out of gas, as evidenced by Philémon's cramps in the last act, to manage to confirm the small sensation of the first set. Although pushed to their limits, Bastien and Adrien were able to use all their experience to come away with the victory. A success acquired mentally and physically against two players who can congratulate themselves for having given everything today in Bordeaux. The public will have feasted in front of this meeting in three sets, both indecisive and spectacular.
This men's final puts an end to a big weekend of padel in Gironde, which will have seen several teams creating a surprise. Finally, in men like the ladies, it took until the last four to see the favorites really take over the outsiders.
It should be noted that there was still a little surprise this Sunday with the victory of the Dumartin/Rouanet pair against De Meyer/Vanbauce in the match for third place in the men's category.
