Padel and Civil Liability: Measuring and Anticipating Risks

When playing padel, you will see that we also have obligations towards each other. The Vice-President of Sports Mediators, Adrien Pujol returns to this theme often discussed between players and clubs of padel.

Like any leisure sport activity, the practice of Padel can be exercised:

  • Within framed and private structures
  • Or in the form of free bookings in a Club affiliated to the FFT

In these two cases, the practice of Padel generates fast and demanding movements.

The play area is relatively small and confined. Four players share this small space of 200 m2 being at a distance of 1 5 meters apart during the exchanges. The potential risks of injury or unintentional blows are real.

Are we then insured in the event of a blow? What to do in such a case?

Is the responsibility of the author of the injuries engaged? Under what conditions?
