Premier Padel Brussels P2 – The women’s Big 4 at the semi-finals!

The women's quarter-finals are now over at Premier Padel Brussels P2as the men's quarter-finals are still in progress.

No big surprises on the women's side with the qualification of the four best pairs in the world, in the FIP ranking, promising great matches for Saturday in Brussels!

Josemaria/Sanchez – Triay/Fernandez: the revenge of Doha

Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez are back with a bang on the Premier Padel, after having missed Puerto Cabello. The world numbers 1 left only 2 small games per set to Jessica castello et Claudia jensen during their quarter-final. For the moment, the Josemaria/Sanchez pair is quite simply intractable in this Premier Padel Brussels P2.

Those who will try to stop the machine are Gemma Triay et Claudia fernandez. The 3 seed was scared this Friday against the veterans Patty Llaguno et Lucia Sainz. Triay/Fernandez had to work in three sets to get their ticket to the last four: 6/3 4/6 6/0.

This match will be the revenge of the Doha final, where the world number 1s won in two sets to capture the title. Tomorrow, Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez will try to climb a third time in the final. Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez, for their part, will try to reconnect with the day on Sunday!

Brea/Gonzalez – Icardo/Salazar: big match in perspective

Tamara Icardo et Alejandra Salazar did not waste time on the field this Friday, sweeping aside their respective former partners Virginia Riera et Sofia Araujo. The Icardo/Salazar pair won more than 64% of points in his quarter and did not give up a single break point, securing his place in the semi-final with a score of 6 / 2 6 / 0.

They will meet Delfi Brea et Bea Gonzalez, who only spent one minute more on the field than their future opponents. Indeed, Delfi and Bea did not offer many opportunities to Marta Ortega et Veronica Virseda (TS5). The second seed easily won in his quarter-final, 6 / 3 6 / 3.

Third confrontation between the two teams this season. For now, there is a perfect tie between these two teams (1-1). This match will therefore be the best with, at stake, a place in the final!

The meetings will start tomorrow, from 10h. We will follow the first women's semi-final, pitting Josemaria/Sanchez against Triay/Fernandez. It will be necessary to wait 17 h to attend the second Brea/Gonzalez – Icardo/Salazar confrontation.
