If you haven't heard of the padel, it will not be long. This discipline, which is played both outdoors and on indoor or semi-indoor courts, with glass walls, a smaller racket and heavier balls, is booming in France. In the bosom of the FFT since July 2014 officially, this fun sport and complementary to tennis has since benefited from a boost.
While some may have worried about the development of a discipline close to tennis, for the FFT tennis and padel are not competitors. Even if each discipline retains its own tactical or technical specificities, they are nonetheless complementary racquet sports.
It is from this postulate that the red star tennis club limoges decided to create a structure padel complementary to the existing tennis club.
The structure padel will be backed up by the existing tennis structure and will therefore be able to benefit from a strategic location in the center of Limoges with a large possibility of existing parking lots.
In addition to a location close to the center of Limoges the Red Star complex has a dual access (rue de New York and rue de Beaupuy) allowing a fluidity of traffic, parking and reception for all public (home mini-bus , medical vehicle, wheelchairs) at the doors of the site.
The club hosts each season individual sanctioned tournaments such as:
For competitors:
-An adult and youth training center supervised by an DES with classification objectives
-Specialized groups in team competitions in which physical preparation times are included. Support and follow-up of the players is proposed
For “leisure” adults:
-Course from Monday to Friday from 1h to 1H30 with sports events such as doubles, mixed doubles and other unapproved competitions
For children from 3 to 18 years old:
-The tennis galaxy for 3 11 years including sessions adapted to the smallest with a whole universe of teaching adapted from Monday to Saturday
-The beginners and advanced tennis school for the 11-18 years with a possible approach of the competition from Monday to Saturday
Reception of sports and health groups and adapted tennis:
-Two sections that allow specialized audiences to practice tennis in conditions adapted to their handicap
-Structuring and sports development activities:
to increase the disciplines around courses supervised by professionals. The objective is to present competitors with technical and physical support.
-Leasing actions of the grounds:
animate the city center on this discipline by offering leisure and "after work" packages for all audiences
To propose the discovery of the discipline to colleges, high schools, centers
-Development actions of theevenementiel:
CE, associative but also private partnerships (possible privatization of the structure to host mid-size sports events, networking, sponsoring, etc.)
