WPT takeover – PPA satisfied

We knew that many players wanted to avoid having to play on two different circuits next season.

And the vast majority of them had expressly shown their support for Premier Padel, like the former president of the PPA, Ale Galan, who announced the end of the WPT a few weeks ago.

Players will be able to play fewer tournaments next season, take better care of their bodies and focus more on sport. Especially since with this takeover of the WPT by QSI, the proceedings against the players who participated in the Premier Padel are abandoned. A new situation that clearly seems to satisfy them.

We can clearly see this with the recent press release from the Association of Professional Players of padel.

In addition to thanking the players for their solidarity over the past few months, the PPA believes that this merger “opens a new and exciting stage for the padel professional where the player will have to remain engaged and involved to the maximum so that we can build the future of our professional sport together.”

A victory for professional players, and a new page in our sport that opens!
