The + and the - of the ranking of padel July 2017

The rankings of padel July 2017 version just dropped. Small hot analysis of the evolution of padel in competition.

What makes <span style="font-family: 'arial black', 'avant garde';">inlingua</span> different

In total :

  • 366 competitors
  • 2446 competitors

The progressions show that the padel is really on the rise. The number of tournaments padel explodes with more and more P500 and P1000 tournaments. Just on the weekend of July 8 and 9, we could count 2 P1000 (Tennis Club Toulonnais and the BIG IV of Valenciennes) and 1 P500 in Country Padel Aix Club. Without counting the stage of the National Padel Cup at the 5 Raquettes club in Vendargues near Montpellier or the different regional stages (Picardy and Val d'Oise).

Another observation: The number of men players who play more than 10 tournaments padel these last 9 months are very important in the top 500. The French Tennis Federation has moreover announced that it will not count in the long term not the 6 best tournaments of a player, but will increase to 10 counted tournaments.

The -

Even though the number of female competitors is increasing, there is a huge gap with the number of male players. The clubs are the first to unfortunately notice this lack of enthusiasm for the ladies to participate in the tournaments of padel.

In addition, it will be observed that among all the competitors registered in the FFT ranking, a good part only carries out one single tournament. padel.

Indeed, almost half of the competitors (ladies and gentlemen) have only one tournament on these 9 last months.
