Scheduled on October 21, 22, 23 at Toulouse padel club, the French Championships “in pairs” are approaching with great strides. It is already time to see what awaits us for this great celebration of padel.
The FFT has revealed to us some rather interesting information which allows us to find out more about the conditions for welcoming players.
In addition, players will be able to train from Thursday (i.e. October 20) from 10 a.m., by making reservations directly with the club at +09 86 14 54 35 XNUMX.
For the other days, reservations for training slots will be made directly with the referees of the competition.
Regarding the formula adopted for the competition, we remain on a classic match format, that is to say that we will have:
A 12th track will be reserved on Saturday and Sunday for a free initiation “ Discovery padel » for the general public (loan of Wilson rackets and balls).
The competition will be in the format of a multi-chance tournament (each pair will play 5 matches in total: 2 matches on Friday, 2 matches on Saturday and 1 match on Sunday). It is expected that all pairs will play all matches over the 3 days.
In the event of a forfeit, the pair will be placed in the last row of the round in question!
Other information to remember : the French Championship is valued in P3000 and all pairs
will be ranked from 1 to 32 at the end of the competition.
Morning: 1/16th final from 9 a.m.
Afternoon: 1/8th finals and classification matches
Morning: 1/4 final and classification matches from 9 a.m.
Afternoon: 1/2 finals and classification matches

As for the prize-giving, this will take place on the track, after the finals.
What thrills the hearts of enthusiasts of padel and of sport more particularly, it is competition. And to be honest, we do too!
In order for you to have an idea of the different statuses (if you are not aware) we have decided to focus on the different favorites, underdogs and pairs to watch, whether on the ladies' or men's side.
As in 2021, Léa Godallier and Alix Collombon will be the big favorites in the competition for the ladies. By analyzing the situation in all lucidity, despite the general progress of the padel women, there is still a gap between them and the rest of the teams and they should, in all likelihood, retain their title obtained last year.
However, the competition is likely to be particularly interesting to follow, because behind it is the blur. Several pairs appear as potential rivals: Invernon / Soubrie, Ginier / Pothier, Detriviere / Martin, Ros / Lefevre or even Ligi / Clergue to name but a few.
To be clear, the clashes promise to be particularly fierce between all these pairs which seem very close to each other in terms of level.
The fight promises to be particularly tight among the men. Between the Bergeron/Tison pair which arrives with its number 1 seed status and the Blanqué/Leygue pair which won two P2000s this year, we are going to be served.
It was also the poster for the final of the 2021 edition of the French championships. Bergeron and Tison had then taken over their vis-à-vis. But watch out for Blanqué and Leygue who will arrive with a knife between their teeth, with the aim of leaving this time with the trophy.
Just as with girls, many pairs appear as potential outsiders who would be on the lookout for the slightest misstep. We can think of Maigret/Scatena, Grue/Moreau, Inzerillo/Forcin, Authier/Lopes, Cancel/Guichard, or even Vives/Auradou (who won the Mas P2000 this year).
A panel of particularly formidable rivals who will have only one objective: to shake up the current hierarchy to hope to dream bigger.
See you from October 21 at Toulouse padel club for a show that promises to be monumental!
