Le World Padel Tour make more room for women

Good news for the women's circuit, 56 pairs will now be able to register in the Open tournaments instead of the usual 48. This is very good news for the padel world female who will be able to allow many new teams to compete at the top level.

As a reminder, the women's circuit is very much less endowed than the men's circuit.

Here is for example the prize-money of the tournaments of the queen category the Masters:

Men Women
Champions € 9 x 000,00 € 2 x 660,00
finalists € 5 x 850,00 € 1 x 820,00
Semifinalists € 3 x 375,00 € 1 x 060,00
Quarter finalists € 2 x 025,00 600,00 € x 2
Eighth of finalists € 1 x 012,50 325,00 € x 2
First round 450,00 € x 2 200,00 € x 2

Another good news and historic first, from September 25 to 30 of this year, the first 100% female Open will take place, called the Wopen! Played in the province of Madrid in Pozuelo de Alarcon, this first stage will be a test to see if the women's circuit has found its audience.
