Video WPT Valencia 2021 - Some pairs impress!

The quarter-finals of World Padel Tour Valencia Open offered us matches of a very, very high level, for both men and women.

Gentlemen's side

The day started for the men with the recital of Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno, which totally disgusted Agustin Tapia and Pablo Lima. A direct fault, 29 winning points, Rodrigo Ovide's players were simply unplayable today!

Tomorrow, Paquito and Martin will find the number 1 on their track, which, after a high-flying first set, let Capra and Sanchez come back a little, before taking the blow in the tie-break. A victory in straight sets against the winners of the Valladolid Master which once again shows the supremacy of Lebron and Galan. Tomorrow, the opposition between these two pairs at the peak of their form promises to be the most explosive!

In the middle of the afternoon, Federico Chingotto and Juan Tello also imposed their ranking. Facing the young Edu Alonso and Jesus Moya, from the previas, the Argentines did the job to also win a straight sets victory.

Two sets that Fernando Belasteguin and Sanyo Gutierrez did not even need to afford their ticket to the semi-final. Indeed, facing Alex Ruiz and a diminished Franco Stupaczuk, Bela and Sanyo flew over the first round, before “Captain America” and Stupa gave up in the start of the second set. The veterans will therefore have saved themselves for the 100% Argentinian fight that awaits them tomorrow.

At the girls

This morning, Ale Salazar and Gemma Triay were impressive against Lorena Rufo and Marta Talavan. A 6/1 6/3 victory which propels the numbers 1 in the semi-finals. In confidence, they are going to be very difficult to stop.

But beware, Patty Llaguno and Virginia Riera have already beaten them this season and they will be there for that again tomorrow. After their 6/2 6/3 victory over their former respective partners Eli Amatriain and Sofia Araujo, Neki Berwig's players are also in great shape. We expect a very big game tomorrow!

In the other part of the table, Carmen Goenaga and Bea Caldera, could not do anything for their first quarterfinal. Swept 6/0 6/0 by Victoria Iglesias and Aranzazu Osoro, the young players can still congratulate themselves on their journey. Iglesias and Osoro will not have wasted any time on the track and they should be in great shape tomorrow.

In front of them, we will find tomorrow Tamara Icardo and Delfi Brea, who won the most hooked match of the day. Opposed to Marta Marrero and Marta Ortega, the players of Gaby Reca have emerged from a totally epic battle. 3:20 of match and a final victory 3/6 6/4 7/6 in one of the most intense matches of 2021! They confirm their great form of the moment and will have to rest well for the match which awaits them tomorrow!
