World Seniors Plus 2024 – France loses after a great battle against Spain

There will ultimately be no no exploit for France in these semi-finals of the World Seniors Plus 2024, beaten by the Spanish team, 2-3.

The French had started their semi-final perfectly well, quickly leading 2-0, sowing doubt among the Spaniards. Unfortunately, the following matches did not allow the French team to bring back this last point, potentially taking them to the final.

First of all, Sébastien Corbelli et Romain Coirault ran into the Arias/Santana wall, bowing heavily 6 / 1 6 / 2. Subsequently, Maxime Moreau et Adrien Maigret were unable to find the weapons to overcome Sanchez / Sanmarti, 6 / 4 6 / 3.

The last French hopes therefore rested on the shoulders of Matthew Armagnac et Thomas Cazes-Carrere. Despite a very good match from this duo against Ruiz / Limones, they still ended up losing after two tight sets: 4 / 6 6 / 7.

France therefore stops in the semi-finals in these 2024 Senior Plus Worlds. However, the competition does not end there for the French players because they will try tomorrow, from 15:30 am, to go and snatch the bronze medal face to Sweden, against whom the French team has great difficulty winning…

In any case, objective fulfilled for the French men's team which wanted to position itself among the five best nations!
