WPT Cascais Master: what if it was the Martas tournament?

Marta Ortega and Marta Marrero have continued their momentum by dominating Delfi Brea and Tamara Icardo in the semifinals of the WPT Cascais Master!

After dominating No. 1 Alejandra Salazar and Gemma Triay, the Martas put it back today with a 6/3 6/3 victory over Delfi Brea and Tamara Icardo, seeded number 6 in the tournament.

We were expecting a close game, but it was not really the case. Pumped up after their 6/0 6/1 victory over Llaguno / Riera, Brea and Icardo could not do anything against the padel proposed by the Martas.

With only 5 unforced errors, for 34 winning strokes, Ortega and Marrero had another full match today. After beating the number 1 yesterday in straight sets, they do it again today with another big performance.

Tomorrow, they will play their second final of the year, and will try to win a title after more than a year of famine. In view of the level displayed by Carlos Pozzini's players over the past two days, they seem more than ever ready to climb back to the top of the podium in a WPT tournament. But be careful because the pair that will appear in the final, Gonzalez / Sainz or Josemaria / Sanchez, will not be there to make up the figure. We should still be entitled to the big padel female tomorrow in Portugal!
