We had a tough battle for the first women's semi-final of the Granada Open WPT. Shaken in the first set, Salazar and Triay overturned the match and offered themselves a 6th final in six tournaments played this season.
For their return together, Delfi Brea and Bea González stunned the central of Granada. On the one hand, with their complicity which has never left them but also by an impressive accuracy in the game. From the outset, the Hispano-Argentinian pair took the lead in the game and led 3-0. Triay and Salazar are shaken but manage to pick up at 3-3. Delfi and Bea go into overdrive and shake up the queens of the circuit. Triay and Salazar are too unruly and let the first set go 6-3.
The four players engage in an intense showdown. The fight is tough and the players stand at 4-4 in the second set. But this time, it's the experience that takes precedence. Salazar and Triay are more skilful and push the Brea / Gonzalez pair to their limitss. The numbers 1 manage to make the break and equalize at a set everywhere, 6/4.
Heckled in the first set, the Spaniards completely reversed the meeting. More imposing and conquering, Triay and Salazar dictate third set play. The numbers 1 of the circuit are untouchable. Pushed by the Andalusian public, the pair Delfi/González struggling to regain its level of the first set. The Spanish-Argentinian pair seem lost and end up losing in two hours 3/6 6/4 6/1.
