Le World Padel Tour Malmö Open has already given us a number of surprises, the biggest of them certainly concerns the Martinez/Sharifova pair.
From the previas, the Russian Ksenia Sharifova (73) and the Spaniard Patricia Martinez (57) created the surprise yesterday in Sweden.
After dominating seeded 2 of the Martinez/Soriano previas in the morning in the last qualifying round, the two young players were still talked about a little later in the day.
Indeed, although not favorites against Bea Caldera and Sofia Saiz, the Russian and the Spaniard fought a very big fight and ended up winning at the end of the suspense: 3/6 7/6 6/4!
