WPT – The previas of the Chile Open have delivered their verdict

A big week of padel ends in Alcorcón, in the region of Madrid, where the preview of the La Rioja Open and the Chile Open.

Among the men, the favorite pairs have generally done the job, since the seeds 1, 2 and 4 will be traveling to Santiago. The little surprise comes from Daniel Santigosa and David Gala, who after beating the seeded 3 Piñeiro/Garcia, we did the same against the promising Augsburger and Libaak.

Qualified pairs:

  • Ayats/Cepero (TS1)
  • Cardona/Ramirez (TS2)
  • Moya/Guerrero (TS4)
  • Gala/Santigosa

Among the ladies, on the other hand, only one of the first four seeds was able to assume her status. This is the one composed of Giulia Sussarello and Emily Stellato. The real surprise comes from the duo composed of Lara Arruabarrena and Ana Fernandez de Osso. Indeed, the Spaniards dismissed the seeds 4 and 8 in quick succession! We will also note the good comeback of Ari Cañellas and Sandra Bellver in the final of the previas against Sharifova / Martinez (4/7 7/6 6/1).
