The most observant among you have already noticed: the WPT has decided to extend the carpet that is in the 20×10 around the central track.
This change is not necessarily visible at first glance since the turn of the track remains red and the playing area blue. But it is the same quality of carpet that is found on and off the field. So when players go off lane to retrieve a ball, they don't have to think about slowing down to adapt to a different material that they could hurt themselves on. More security for the players, and more entertainment for the fans: everyone is happy!
