WPT Vigo Open: Paquito and Di Nenno back in the final!

Thanks to their victory over Franco Stupaczuk and Alex Ruiz in the semi-finals of this Vigo Open, Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno are back in the final of a World Padel Tour.

Rodri Ovide's players, who had been the most prolific pair at the end of the 2021 season, had not yet managed to find their best version this year.

Intractable in eighths and quarters, Paquito and Martin were initially jostled today by Franco Stupaczuk and Alex Ruiz who are awarded the first set: 6/4. In line with their victory the day before against Bela and Coello, Stupa and Ruiz imposed their rhythm and offered a padel very solid.

But Di Nenno and Navarro had not said their last word. Exceptional in the second round, the number 2 pair in the standings was able to find everything that had allowed them to titillate Lebron and Galan in the ranking last season.

Despite the return of Ale and Franco in the decisive set, Rodri Ovide's players will have managed to stay the course to clinch victory: 4/6 6/1 6/4.

Tomorrow they will play their first final of the season. Facing them, we will find either the numbers 1, or Sanyo and Tapia who showed themselves to be in very good shape yesterday and who continue in their line of Reus. Response after the second ladies' semi-final, scheduled for 16:00 p.m. and to follow on World Padel Tour TV.
