Agustin Tapia salutes the longevity of Miguel Lamperti

After the extraordinary quarter-final of the P2 in Brussels, Agustin Tapia was rave about Miguel Lamperti, one of the greatest icons of padel World.

During the match, the Mozart of Catamarca was able to see everything that made up the DNA of this stainless champion: unfailing determination, unfailing motivation and an ability to play a padel spectacular, even in important moments.

The world number ones almost fell by the wayside, saving two match points against Lamperti and Juan Cruz Belluati. After the game, Tapia (24 years old) spoke highly of “Charisma Lamperti”, praising the latter’s longevity in particular: “When I retire and watch padel live, I would see Miguel Lamperti play."

A sentence that says a lot about this extraordinary player, professional since 2006 who has enjoyed numerous successes and who left his mark on the padel world forever. And today, at over 45 years old, he continues to battle with the new generation by making his way to the quarter-finals and delivering an exemplary performance alongside Juan Cruz Belluati.

As Agustin Tapia implicitly states, let's make the most of seeing this generation of legends – Miguel Lamperti, Fernando Belasteguin or even sanyo gutierrez for example – get to work while there is still time, because the show is always there!
