Last night, we almost witnessed the biggest surprise of the start of the season on the Premier Padel, with Miguel Lamperti et Juan Cruz Belluati. The latter were on the verge of leaving Arturo Coello et Agustin Tapia of this Brussels P2.

It's a match that we will not forget this season. The Lamperti / Belluati pair, confronted with the Coello / Tapia duo, launched into “the ascent of Everest“. THE outsiders are the first to break in this match, very early in the first set. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, for their part, only had one break point which they were unable to convert. So this makes 6/4 on the scoreboard for veterans of the competition.

The second set is just as tight between the two teams. This time, Miguel Lamperti and Juan Cruz Belluati did not obtain no opportunity to delight the service of the world number 1s. Opposite, the Coello / Tapia pair granted themselves four break opportunities… for only one converted. This was enough for them to regain the score and equalize in this match with one set all: 6/3.

Arturo Coello Miguel Lamperti Brussels P2

Like the other two sets, the third remained very tight. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia were unable to impose their game as they would have liked. Despite a few break opportunities, they did not convert any .. Miguel Lamperti and Juan Cruz Belluati, authors of a huge match, also offered themselves two break points... at 5/4 for them... or two match balls. The Coello/Tapia pair escaped at the last minute and got a break point in the next game... which they converted. In the end, they won their last service game, concluding this set: 7/5.

The infallibles Arturo Coello et Agustin Tapia almost left Brussels earlier than planned. A mental victory for the world number 1s, which they are likely to remember.

Today, for their semi-final, they will meet Javi Garrido and Mike Yanguas, fallers of Stupa / Di Nenno.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
