Adrien Maigret: “going to seek a final in Marbella”

Lorenzo Lecci Lopez interviewed Adrien Maigret, France team player, present at Roland-Garros on the court of padel ephemeral.

Dream conditions at Roland-Garros

“It's incredible, there are dream conditions, no wind, the central just behind, a few people, it's great! There is nothing to say, well done to the Federation for installing this land in Roland! ”

Go for a final at the European Championship

“We will try to get the final, it will depend on the draw because we do not really know if Spain will be seeded number 1 or not. We hope that we will not have them in the part of the painting ”.

“My calves are fine, I have taken care of myself, I have lost a little bit of weight, I have tried to train well physically and to do physiotherapy sessions so everything is fine for now. We played very well with JT in Catania. I am not yet 100% but I will be ready for the European Championships. I hope we will have a good competition. We have a solid, strong group, we will give everything together to do the maximum. ”

The selection of your partner, a surprise?

“No surprise because he is now 4th French (Editor's note: 5th ex aequo in the last FFT ranking). After seeing the conditions that can be in Marbella, he may have a less suitable playing profile. But he deserves anyway, he trains a lot, he has made enormous progress, that's also why I joined forces with him. We get along really well, frankly, there is nothing to say for the moment. I congratulate him for his selection of course and I am very happy that he is there since he is my partner. In any case, given the internship he did, we know that he will be 200% with the group. He deserved his place, he is part of the group, he has integrated well and he is ready to give 200%. ”
