The new numbers 1 of theAPT Padel Tour, Maxi Arce and Franco Dal Bianco, won the final of theAsuncion Open against Pablo Barrera and Andres Britos, 6/2 6/4.
Franco Dal Bianco and Maxi Arce therefore confirm their new position in the ranking by authoritatively winning this Open.
Dal Bianco and Arce rose to international prominence a year ago by coming out of the Paraguay Master qualifier, beating Julianoti-Flores, the best pair at the time in the quarter-finals and losing in the semi-finals against Pablo Barrera and his partner Nico Egea. “This is where it all started”, say the n°1. Thus, they come full circle: a year of exceptional growth.
In the final of the Asuncion Open, Maxi and Franco dominated Barrera and Britos. The Argentinian pair seemed to pay for the physical effort they had put in to get to the final, especially Barrera who committed a lot of unusual fouls.
Arce and Dal Bianco's plan, combined with their peak physical condition, kept their rivals from fighting in the first set (6/2).
The second set begins the same way. A reaction in the middle of the set will allow Britos and Barrera to believe it a little more, but Arce and Dal Bianco were clearly above in this final. 6/2 6/4.
The next big APT tournament Padel Tour will be the Axion APT Buenos Aires Master in the stadium of River Plate, which will start on April 28!
