Assimilated padel : nearly 6% of competitors

The assimilated in the rankings padel make it possible to avoid having players of padel undersides in tournaments.

A system put in place to avoid finding ourselves faced with players of too good a level coming to unbalance a table.

The better a tennis player, the higher his ranking padel assimilated will be high

Concretely, it is believed that the better a tennis player is, the more he is able to play well at padel rapidly. In effect, it is enough to see the rapid evolutions of some of our top players of padel to realize that indeed, having played tennis well can help enormously.

This is why the FFT has set up a scale to allow players to obtain an assimilation according to their level of tennis. To obtain the details of this scale, the information can be found HERE

It is true that a player who has never played tennis will have to go through many stages before understanding how it all works.

The very tennis top 20

France is one of the best nations on the international scene. She owes it above all to all these players whose profile is tennis-oriented.

Look for yourselves.

Among the women, the Frenchwoman who perfectly illustrates these facilities to quickly become one of the best players in the world is Alix Collombon. Léa Godallier is also a player who quickly managed to make a place for herself in the world ranking.

Among the stars of this discipline, we think of Marta Marrero, the former quarter-finalist at Roland-Garros, who quickly obtained a very good foundation to evolve quickly in this sport.

If we analyze the French top 20, we see that all the players have played or continue to play tennis.

More than 5% assimilated

We wanted to study the share of assimilated on the number of players of padel having participated in at least one tournament padel over the last 12 months. And a little surprise:

  • For men: 1 assimilated out of 165 licensees padel

5,5% of padel having participated in at least one competition over the last twelve months have been assimilated.

  • Among the ladies: 273 assimilated out of 3 licensed padel

7,8% of female players padel having participated in at least one competition over the last twelve months have been assimilated.

Out of 24 competitors padel, we can therefore see that 1 players benefit from the assimilated classification, which represents 438% of the number of competitors.

A relatively low figure, when you look at the overall plan. The FFT remains vigilant not to offer a ranking assimilated to everyone. The objective is all the same to prove itself on the ground.
