Belgium: 2 weeks to reserve a field of padel !

Le padel is establishing itself as an increasingly popular sport across Europe, Belgium is no exception since it now sometimes takes 2 weeks to reserve a track.

As Laurent Jeuniaux told us recently, sports coordinator of the Francophone Association of Padel, which manages the discipline in Wallonia, the clubs are currently overwhelmed in Belgium, since the average time to reserve a plot is 2 to 3 weeks !

Despite the health crisis that is raging across Europe, the development of padel does not experience a slowdown, in particular because it is a sport considered as “safe” and that it is still possible to play outdoors in some countries where very few other sports are still allowed. This is the case in France, and in some areas, the deadlines for booking are comparable with Wallonia, as we said. Guillaume Lary, from Sète Padel Club.

The trend seems very interesting, and in Belgium, we can say that we have deal with a sub-offer, which could lead some investors to set up padel, in order to satisfy an increasingly important clientele! The post-Covid period may be very interesting for the padel in general, and Belgium should not escape reality!
