On the magnificent Market Square in Krakow, the two Italians, Carolina Orsi and Giorgia Marchetti, won gold against the Spanish team coached by Juanjo Gutiérrez, Marta Barrera and Marta Caparros in the finals of the European Games 2023.
After almost three hours of play and a score of 6/4, 4/6, 7/5, Italy finally had the upper hand over Spain. The two Martas, Barrera and Caparrós, fought until the end, making the victory for the Italians all the more precious.
The 3rd set lasted 1h10, that is to say, the fierce fight that there was on this central track installed for the occasion in the old town of Krakow.
Italy manages to position its two pairs among the women in the final trio with gold and bronze.
