FIP Rise Canet - Maigret / Peyrou, the French survivors

À Canet in Roussillon, la day was particularly bloody for the French pairs. Faced with players mainly in the world top 100, Peyrou / Maigret saves the honor and will fight at home for a place in the final.

Half a WPT

Perino / Saadon - Leygue / Blanqué 6 / 4 6 / 4

Facing the seeded n ° 1, the French will not be unworthy. Often very close to their opponents, we felt that there was not much missing to take the set.

Perino looked very tall, sometimes covering 75% of the net. On the left, Saadoun has shown himself to be particularly solid, he transcends himself alongside the brilliant Argentinian.

Muñoz / Ramirez - Inzerillo / Grinda 6 / 1 6 / 2

Overtaken by stronger, Inzerillo and Grinda could not hang the two top 100 of the WPT. This result gives a little more merit to the hooked match of Auradou / Valsot in the previous round.

A great WPT level match awaits us tomorrow on center court from 9:30 am.

French hope

Arroyo / Ortega - Tison / Bergeron 6 / 1 6 / 4

The first set is a show of strength from the two young Spanish players - 19 and 18 years old. These are two great promises of the padel Spanish, and the level of play shown is simply worthy of the WPT main draw. In an atmosphere of madness with nearly 800 spectators, the French transcend themselves and hang in the second set. But on the only opportunity to break, on a punto de oro, the Spaniards conclude a match that could perhaps have gone to the third set ...

Peyrou / Maigret - A.Saadoun / Blanco 6 / 4 6 / 2

JT Peyrou and Adrien Maigret will be the French representatives in the last square of the FIP Rise de Canet. Both players delivered an excellent performance to defeat Qatari and Spaniard in straight sets. The tactic was clear: put the Galician Blanco in the fridge, and we can say that it worked well!

We will meet the French in the second rotation tomorrow morning at 11:30 am against the Spanish favorites.
