Eleven French will compete on the London tracks today, at FIP Rise Rocks Lane, after the qualification of Vanbauce/Rouanet and Hugounenq/Vincent and the retirement of Vives/Inzerillo.
Originally thirteen, we did not come far from having “only” nine French players present in London. Indeed, if Thomas Vanbauce et Nicolas Rouanet qualified against Ignacio Téllez Rodríguez (1807) and Juan Cruz Forastello (414), 6/2 6/3, Arthur Hugounenq et Pierre-Vincent almost left the English capital.
Indeed, Arthur and Peter bowed in the final round of qualifying against Sandy Farquharson (1330) and Tom Farquharson (1330). A defeat in three sets 4/6 6/1 6/7. Despite everything, they were able to benefit from dropping a pair in the main draw and are therefore qualified for the first round.
Furthermore, it should be noted the absence of Jerome Inzerillo et Manuel Vives. The latter have decided not to participate in the FIP Rise Rocks Lane. They were seeded 8 in the tournament.
The program of the day:
The matches will start at 9 p.m. (10 p.m. French time).
