Hem embarks on the padel

La town of Hem sets out to attack the padel. This small town near Lille will build 2 courts of padel semi indoor. Total cost of the operation 465.000€ our colleagues from the Voix du Nord.

These 2 fields of padel will be located at Hem's Tennis Club. This is both a good thing for the north, which will acquire new padel, especially since the club has been waiting for this moment for a long time.

And at the same time, some clubs in the former league of Flanders are surprised “de see so much money invested in an area where there are already many clubs padel".

So obviously, the increase in supply padel is always a very good thing for our sport, clubs of padel of the region "would have liked to get help”For the creation and development of their own club.

Clubs padel private members of the region are surprised to see so much difference in treatment between the municipal clubs and themselves. A theme on which we will try to return as the subject is so explosive.

Indeed, it is important not to oppose. Municipal and private clubs are on the same boat. But it is true that the multiplication of this kind of investment (almost € 500.000) can ultimately jeopardize certain private investments ... Normal / Abnormal. Very delicate subject.

  • What surprises me about this project at Hem is that it is apparently two short padel covered by a simple frame, but it does not appear to be a closed room, let alone isolated. Suddenly, I find the amount of € 465 rather exorbitant ...
