IPPA: the girls welcome the rapprochement between WPT and Premier Padel

The players of padel professionals, via their association (IPPA) wished to welcome the opening of discussions between the WPT and Premier Padel.

Press release translated by us.

Following the joint press release published by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), founder and organizer of Premier Padel, the International Federation of padel (FIP) and the Professional Association of padel (PPA) regarding the agreement to begin negotiations with DAMM, owner of SETPOINTS EVENTS (SPE) and organizer of the World Padel Tour, we would like to state the following:

1.- Our Association wishes to express its best wishes to this initiative and hopes that the negotiations lead to an agreement that puts an end to the conflicts between QSI, Premier Padel, FIP, and PPA, and SPE and WPT.

2 – On the side of the IPPA, as a group of professional players of padel, just like the PPA, the FIP and these organizing companies, we consider that to bring the padel at the highest level, it is necessary and essential that we all work together in order to expand its international expansion and quickly obtain its recognition as an Olympic sport.

3 – Therefore, the IPPA can only welcome this news, while reiterating, as it has always done, its collaboration with any initiative that favors and promotes the padel, and the need for the IPPA and the PPA to actively participate, together with the FIP, in initiatives, meetings and conversations that aim to improve the competitions and circuits of our sport.
