The French resist the Mijas Open

At the start of the pre-qualifications for the World Padel Tour from Mijas, we had for the gentlemen 2 pairs 100% French and 2 pairs composed of a French.

For this start of the 2nd round of the pre-previas, we will have our two French pairs at the start. With a huge match at 10am between Tison / Maigret against the No. 1 seed in the table Fuster / Barahona, winner of the Scatena / Suescun pair in 3 sets. This will be the first BIG test on the circuit of World Padel Tour for our French pair.

Johan Bergeron / Bastien Blanqué is angry with the 3 seed of Antonio Fernández Cano / Miguel Oliveira. A huge match also planned at 10h.

  • Back on the day yesterday

Our two 100% French pairs qualified for the 2nd round of the pre-qualifiers for the stage of World Padel Tour from Mijas.

Tison / Maigret: The quiet force

Benjamin Tison and Adrien Maigret made a perfect copy after their first match against Italy's Gianmarco Toccini / Saverio Palmieri. The French were on top and they do the job in 2 sets 6 / 2 6 / 2.

Blanqué / Bergeron: A first round not obvious

In this first round of pre-previas, the French champions of padel had to pay close attention to a Spanish pair which included the 161st world player Alejandro Tasa Van beek associated with Juan Miguel Such Pérez n ° 234. The French won in 2 sets 7/6 - 6/3.

Haziza / Perez: it's stuck.

The pair Iván Arrondo Pérez / Robin Haziza will not pass the stage of the first round in these pre-qualifiers. It must be said that she will inherit from the first round of the pair seeded n ° 16 table: Sergio Alba Sánchez / Francisco Manuel Gil Morales. Defeat 6/1 6/4 for our Franco-Spanish pair.

Scatena / Suescun: What a shame!

It was certainly THE confrontation of the day for our Franco-Argentinean pair: Jérémy Scatena / Nicolas Suescun opposed to the seeded pair n ° 1 of the table of these pre-previas, the Spanish pair Javier González Barahona (69) / Christian Fuster (71).

A huge match for the Franco-Argentinian pair that they will end up losing 6/7 - 7/6 - 4/6. Jérémy Scatena says:

We played against 70e world pair, certainly the highest pair of the pre-qualifying table and we passed very little of the victory. Admittedly, it's a frustrating defeat. But it is also an encouraging defeat, because it means that we go up, we go up. We become a dangerous pair. We must continue now.
