Senegal is the first country on the African continent to join the International Federation of Padel.

For the community, this is padel of a probably historic day since the African continent is thus joining (well 🙂 the FIP. It should also be remembered that this was the 35th member to join the FIP.

An African story around padel which is only just beginning since Tunisia or Morocco are countries which could soon join the community of padel international.

The Sports Association of padel Senegalese was created in November 2016 and had officially requested the integration of the FIP in 2017.

The FIP also promoted the candidacy of the Association Padel Senegal at the committee office.

The management of the Association of padel Senegalese consists of

  • Christophe Aime Chavane (President)
  • Jordi Rovira Arimany (Vice-President)
  • Mr. Nikolas Thomas (Secretary General)
  • Mrs. Marie Jose Gensse (Deputy Secretary General)
  • Mrs. Llum Perez Barambio (Treasurer)
  • Mr. Laurent Auque (Technical Director)

A group composed of Senegalese, Spanish and French who have lived in Senegal for several years. Local law requires the president of the association to be Senegalese.

Senegal already counts as a padel in Dakar Saly, Ngaparou and Nguering. We could soon see players from Senegal playing stages and tournaments of the circuit of the International Federation of padel.
