As part of the 5e tournament of the professional season in Jaen, we attended this Sunday at the finals.
We are used to see the final Marrero / Ortega against Salazar / Sanchez in women and Sanyo / Maxi Sanchez against Paquito / Lebron in men but this tournament was an opportunity to see the winners change.
We felt Paquito / Lebron able to do something today. After having corrected Lima and Bela in the semifinals, they finish the tournament without losing any set with this last win 7 / 5 6 / 4. A faultless team that may seem less structured than Sanyo / Sanchez but has channeled his madness to achieve a perfect match.
In women, a victory in 3 sets for the team Salazar / Ari Sanchez. We felt the Marrero / Ortega team less imperial since the tournament in Alicante, despite his victory at the Vigo tournament. This trend was confirmed during this tournament with a difficult victory in 3 sets against Sainz / Triay and this defeat in the final.
These victories of Salazar / Sanchez and Paquito / Lebron were essential to stop the haemorrhage of defeats in the final against Marrero / Ortega and Sanyo / Maxi Sanchez.
We feel a few teams rising and others weakening. The next tournaments may bring us some nice surprises!
