Padel Tokyo therefore received the inauguration of the post of honorary president of Professor Yoichi Takahashi. During this ceremony, the word padel written by his hand meant his pledge “壁 庭 球”.
To spice up this day, fans of padel were able to either participate or see padel on the pitch because, as Mr Takahashi is a player, and at over 45, it seemed normal to launch the Yoichi Takahashi Cup, a tournament for over 45s.
Some were even surprised to learn that the teacher was playing as well, using the windows and having very good net control.
Off the field, the fans were able to meet and share great moments with the teacher with a big heart. The award for the winners of this tournament was a teacher's signature on the equipment, a symbol and an honor for the Japanese.
To top it off, the event was visited by Mr. Yuki, paella world champion 2018. This chef was awarded the world's best paella prize out of Spain, a treat and an extra Spanish touch.
Long live the padel in Japan which is really involved!
