The Spanish Federation of padel loses a lawsuit

Nine regional federations of padel had filed a complaint against the Spanish Federation of padel, due to a doubling of the license price in 2019.

The complaint was lodged by nine of the most important regional federations (with the exception of the Madrid federation) which had succeeded in proving an illegal increase in license prices, thus not respecting the statutes in force.

The verdict of the Madrid trial has therefore wronged the Spanish Federation of padel, which will have to cancel the price increase, as well as reimburse the additional legal costs to the regional federations.

The actions ofAlfredo Garbisu, then president of the EPF, were declared illegal.
